I just finished mixing 2 episodes of Asian Dreamers for NHK World, the international broadcasting service of NHK (Nippon Hōsō Kyōkai – Japan Broadcasting Corporation), Japan’s public broadcaster.
The first program, on Japanese basketball star and NBA hopeful, Yuta Watanabe, will air tonight and throughout the weekend. The other, on Yoshitaka ‘Z2’ Tsuji – a transplanted jazz musician originally from Osaka, Japan, currently living and performing in New Orleans – will air in the next few weeks.
Both shows will air in 140 countries! Depending on the source, there are roughly 194 countries in the world, which means these shows will air in almost 75% of the world. Incredible!
(Always great to work with NHK – it’s coming up on 20 years that I’ve been working with them.)
